375ml Cabernet Franc

This 375ml Cabernet Franc originates from selected vineyards in the western stretches of the Niagara Peninsula, situated at varying elevations close to the shoreline of Lake Ontario. At these sites, limestone and shale-laced clays combine with moderating onshore breezes to produce a savoury Cabernet Franc with a succulent, mint-berry character unique to this corner of Niagara. Color: Brilliant ruby.
Nose: Scents of ripe blackberry, mint, black cherry, sage and pepper, with nuances of tobacco leaf, toffee and crushed stone.
Palate: Medium in body; firmly structured with sour cherry and menthol tones up front; expansive, granular tannins emerge, bound to a core of ripe blackcurrant and Bing cherry fruit, and notes of black licorice, cedar, almond and graphite; sturdy on the edges, the palate displays lively tension throughout, harmonizing as it tapers into a refined finish of cacao, cigar box and crushed stone.
